When we first visited this house, there were a workshop on one side and a small house with 2 levels ont the other side, organised around a beautiful but very old marble patio. Honestly, we immediatly felt in love with it. This house has a vibe.
Later, we discovered that our house was an ancient well known Loukoumi. During years, in the very place you will sleep, eat or having a shower, there were ovens and work tables. Syros is well known for its homemade Loukoums. The tradition began in the early 18th century, when refugees from Chios, hunted by turkishes, arrived on the island.

There is a lot of different flavors but the 3 traditional are Rose, Mastic and Bergamot. As Bergamot is an unasual fruit, quite unknown and it’s a flavor explosion in the mouth, we are named after it to celebrate the noble past of the house as Loukoums workshop.
Just a word about our logo : It’s a loukoums box seen from above ; they are all shaped as bergamot. The green ones represent different shades of the fruits ; the blue ones represent the magnificent shades of cycladic blue sky.

In order to make it brand new, we gave it a lot of L.O.V.E. but also hours of work, mansonry, electricity, plumbing, painting… And coffee !! It was huge. It happened to look like this :

But, finally, it looks like this today :
